FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Everything you need to know about using Vextrude.

Yes — 100% free for both personal and commercial projects. No signup, no watermarks and no export limits.
No. Everything runs locally in your browser, so your files never leave your device.
It depends on the tool, but common workflows export STL, OBJ, GLB, GLTF and SVG — ready for printing, Blender, game engines and the web.
Absolutely. The STL export is optimized for slicers, and the Print Control tool helps you prepare and inspect models before printing.
No installs and no accounts. Everything works in any modern browser on desktop and mobile.
Yes. Open the SVG to 3D Converter, drop in your SVG, set the extrusion depth and real-world size, then export STL, OBJ, GLB, PLY or 3MF. That is the usual route for keychains, cookie cutters, badges and signage.
STL is the safest default and every slicer reads it. Choose 3MF when you want units, colour and metadata preserved in one file, and OBJ or GLB when the model is heading into Blender, a game engine or the web rather than a printer.
Yes. Every tool runs in any modern mobile browser with WebGL, including Safari on iOS and Chrome on Android. Very large meshes process more slowly on a phone than on a desktop, but exporting works exactly the same.
There are no account limits and no export caps. Because the processing happens locally, the practical ceiling is your own device memory rather than a server quota, so a very large mesh simply takes longer rather than being rejected.
Yes. Anything you create is yours to use in personal and commercial work, with no watermarks and no attribution requirement. Do check the licence of any third-party font, photo or artwork you import first.
